Hands on module: Participants inject themselves and try the techniques demonstrated before on fresh cadaver heads (1 head for every 2 participants).
16:00 – 17:00 — Dissection of the injection techniques and discussion — Konstantin Frank & Gabriela Casabona
The objective of this course is to introduce tested and approved techniques (forehead augmentation, periocular area, temple, chin, jawline, and lips) used by experts applying the biomimetic concept: selection of techniques according to the product and layer injected.
The cadaver experience is aimed at giving confidence to participants to use a new technique or improve precision in an already known one.
The parallel ultrasound-guided live injection will solidify insights into anatomy and bring real-world experience in the use of the demonstrated techniques, while further illustrating the biomimetic injection concept.
This course is addressed to injectors who want to enhance their anatomical knowledge.
For the first time at MIPSS, train privately with your mentor around a goal — not a single technique.
Dr. Gabriela Casabona explains the new one-on-one hands-on trainings.
What proved transformative in Dr. Gabriela Casabona's own career was the time spent one-on-one with her mentors — learning to assess, select and classify each patient. This year, for the first time, MIPSS brings that experience to you with individual hands-on trainings.
Instead of focusing on a single technique, you choose a goal for a specific area and learn how to combine procedures to reach it — among them fillers, biostimulators, microneedling, mini threads and energy-based devices — deciding what to combine for each individual patient.
The training combines a three-month online course, available from July, with a one-hour in-person session — just you, Dr. Casabona and the patient — to apply and combine the techniques and discuss how to adapt them to different patients. Sessions use live patients and high-frequency ultrasound to guide the choice of skin depth, layer and tissue interplay.
